What is the Movement and Mobility seminar?
This practical seminar covers the best techniques for not only improving your mobility & stability, but it will also teach you how to assess your own body and learn how to avoid injuries. Perfect for anyone who does CrossFit, weightlifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, calisthenics etc, or for anyone who just wants to learn how to look after their body.
Tom Morrison has many years of martial arts and strength/CrossFit coaching experience. He comes from a background of having extremely limited mobility in all areas, leading to countless injuries through which he to learned how to overcome them and helped many do the same all over the world.
He is the creator of The Simplistic Mobility Method and his seminars are attended by doctors, physiotherapists, chiropractors and many coaches from all areas of expertise. His work is featured on T-Nation, Breaking Muscle and Boxrox covering everything from back pain to muscle ups. His application of why you should do what you do and how to make it relatable to your training is what makes these seminars so special.
Jenni Sanders also has a background in martial arts, gaining a Taekwondo black belt in her teens, before moving on to competing Crossfit, Weightlifting and Calisthenics. She also has an extensive yoga background and has full body hyper mobility – completely the opposite to Tom, so you truly get both sides of the coin when it comes to flexibility and stability.
No foam rolling, no fancy tricks, only great movements and concepts that will last you a lifetime.
The seminar includes:
- Learning how to assess your structure safely before starting to work towards a skill
- How to avoid the fear of self-labelling with imbalances and dysfunctions
- How to progressively build on progressions to attain skills like muscle ups, handstands, and pistol squats with bodyweight exercises and why learning those exercises properly actually HELP your mobility
- How to easily assess your body every day to stop silly injuries that are completely avoidable
- How to focus on joint function rather than isolating muscles
- How to build daily habits that will last you a lifetime and always make you stronger
- How to start to experiment with your mobility practice and string movements together to increase your overall proprioception
Each seminar is slightly different because everyone is different. We like to make it as interactive as possible and we actively encourage questions
